The Love List
The Complete Series
Jennifer Conner, Sharon Kleve, Angela Ford, Joanne Jaytanie
Four seperate stories by four different authors tell about how four young women are tired of dating and want to fall in love with the man they will marry. A little bit too much wine and a lot of desperation lead to The Love List. Each girl puts a name in the hat of a man she doesn't want to date, but who could be a good potential for one of the other girls. What happens next is exactly as planned. But love always finds a way and eventually each girl finds her man.
The premise for the story was amusing. The feel of the book was very YA for me. The reactions and conversations were more teenager than adult. While the stories were interesting, I had a really hard time with the inconsistencies in the editing and story lines. Most novellas written by multiple people match much better than these four stories did. I think this would be a cute little YA book if it had some serious editing and a clean up of some of the physical romance.
I received this book free of charge from Goodreads in exchange for my honest review.
