The Courageous Brides Collection
Johnnie Alexander, Michelle Griep, Eileen Key, Debby Lee, Rose Allen McCauley,
Donita Paul, Jennifer Uhlarik, Jenness Walker, Renee Yancy
Nine women in historical America find courage during dangerous or uncertain times. Their courage helps others and shows God's compassionate love. It also brings them to the attention of men who will see their hearts and love them for their spirit and adventure. Each story is connected by the theme and is written by separate authors. They are all set in historical settings and showcase woman who are willing to step out of social norms or go against the trend to show compassion and love to others.
These stories were sweet, romantic, and heartwarming. Each one brought faith filled love to light in a clean, inspirational setting. While I enjoyed some stories more than others, all of them fit well with the book's setting and focused on the importance of courage, compassion, and Christ-like love. This book was great when I only had a short time to read, because each story is novella length and is a stand-alone. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys historical romance, faith-filled stories, and courageous women.
