Will is a hotel owner and one of the founding fathers of Cowboy Creek. Everything has a place and Will has a plan for everything. So when a baby is left outside his door with no indication of who it belongs to, Will's life is completely upset. Tomasina, a cowgirl, is in town after the death of her father. She's at a loss as to where her life is headed now that her father's group of cowboys have disbanded.
This story was very unique. It was a nice change for the typical format that romance novels usually follow. The characters had depth and were entertaining. I enjoyed the side story with the baby as well as the continuation from the previous book in the series. I believe this book could be read as a stand alone, but since the first book is good, it makes sense to read it first to get a real feel for the town and the story. The author did a great job of creating interest in the next book with a lead in for the last man in the group of founding fathers. So I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. There are some slight elements of faith woven throughout the book, but they are light and fit well with the plot. Overall, this was a fun, fast read that I enjoyed and would recommend to anyone who enjoys historical fiction or sweet romances.
