America's Best Breakfasts
Favorite Local Recipes from Coast to Coast
Lee Brian Schrager and Adeena Sussman
Everyone loves a good breakfast. But what that breakfast consists of can vary from state to state. The authors have traveled the country searching for those delectable breakfasts. They pulled recipes from diners, higher end restaurants, and new hot spots. What they created is a book that will please the sight as well as the taste buds. The recipe begins with a little bit about its origin and creators. The ingredients are, for the most part, easily attainable and recognizable. The instructions are not too lengthy and are well described. There are tons of photographs of the recipes, restaurants, and people who helped by contributing.
This book really, really appealed to me. I've tried several of the recipes and they were all delicious. The pages bend easily, but are of a thick glossy print so is easy to wipe off. The colorful photography really helps set the festive mood for the book. I loved the extra info on each recipe. It is nice to know how or where the recipe came about. This book would make an excellent gift for the cook in your family. But I won't be giving up my copy. This is one book that is going to be well used in our house.
I received this book free of charge from Blogging for Books in exchange for my honest review.
