The Governess Secret Baby
Janice Preston
Grace is desperate to find her daughter. Grace made a mistake when she was a young girl at school. One of her teachers helped her find a home for her infant daughter. Now that Grace has graduated, her one wish is to make sure that her daughter is safe and loved. So when she finds out that Grace's adoptive parents died she panics. She heads to the estate of Grace's newly appointed guardian to see Grace and assure herself that Grace is loved. She arrives and Nathaniel assumes she's there for the position of governess. Grace can't pass up the opportunity to spend some time with little Clara.
This was a really fun story. While the ending was predictable, it didn't detract from the story. The author did a great job of creating tension and chemistry between the two main characters. But the secondary characters also helped tell the story. The romance was sweet with a tiny bit of angst. Loved the beauty and the beast element as well. Definitely a hit in my book.
I received a copy of this book from NetGalley. All thoughts expressed are my own.
