Texas Cinderellla
Winnie Griggs
Cassie is loving the freedom of having a job and living in town. The drudgery of helping her father care for the family on the farm is hopefully in the past. One day, while visiting the stables, she meets Riley and his two children. But Riley is running from something and Cassie isn't sure she'll ever be able to connect with him. But a forced decision, chickenpox, and a feisty, elderly lady all play a part in helping them both get the fairy tale of their dreams.
This story had a bit of suspense mixed in with the romance. The story was set long ago, thus making this a historical story, but there weren't any historical details. I enjoyed the interaction between the main characters. The author did a great job of making the conversations entertaining without overwhelming the plot. Overall, this was a good story that made me want to check out the author's other books.
I received this book free of charge from NetGalley in exchange for my honest review.
