Without Warning
Elite Guardians #2
Lynette Eason
Katie is driving home from work when she sees police lights at the restaurant of Daniel Matthews. She knows of Daniel because she has his niece, Riley, in her class, but decides to check anyway. The case of murder and arson quickly becomes a case and Katie finds herself right in the middle of the action. Someone wants Daniel to pay, possibly with his life. Riley thinks her uncle needs a body guard and she asks Katie for help.
Fast paced action, drama, and a little bit of romance make this a fun read. The author uses descriptions to show a picture and bring the reader into the story. The mixture of suspense and faith tie well together and I really enjoyed the secondary characters. The author did a great job of creating interest in the next character in the series and providing a little glimpse into the two people from book one. While this is the second book in the series, I think it could be read as a stand-alone. But since this is a great author and I'm enjoying the series, I would definitely recommend that you start at the beginning. Overall, a good book that readers of Christian suspense will definitely enjoy.

I received this book free of charge from Revell Reads in exchange for my honest review.
