It's Hard to Be Me!

It's Hard to Be Me!
Yehleen Padillo Alana
Sometimes it's hard to be a kid. Gab has some moments during his day that make him think it's really hard to be him. He can't always do things right and he feels discouraged, because he wants to be a big kid. But his mom and dad help him to see that he is very special and he realizes that it really is wonderful to be Gab.

The book is oversized and perfect for little ones to grasp and read. The font is large and the vocabulary is small enough so that an early reader could read it for themselves. The story, while simplistic, talks about acceptance of who you are and learning to not think negatively. It also shows the importance of family in a child's life. My youngest enjoyed the book and it opened up some conversations for us to discuss further. The illustrations are cute and will be fun for children.

I received this book free of charge from Goodreads in exchange for my honest review.
