Every Bride Needs a Groom
Brides with Style Book 1
Janice Thompson
Katie is so sure that her boyfriend is going to propose that she enters a contest to win a wedding gown from a famous designer. But the day she receives the news that she's won, her boyfriend dumps her. Living in a small town means living in a fish bowl. Everyone is so concerned with how she's handling the break up that she doesn't know how to tell them she needs to go to Dallas to get a dress.
The first word I thought of after finishing this book was fun. The author captured the essence of a small town very well. The characters, especially the older generation, were spot on and hilarious. The build up to receiving the dress was great and the romance was sweet. I do wish that the story of their romance had more depth and more of an ending, but overall it was nice. I appreciated that the author was able to write about both the city and the small town without making either of them negative. Both were portrayed well. The elements of faith and a strong Christian message was woven throughout the story without ever coming across too strong. It was refreshing. I really enjoyed reading the story and definitely plan on reading the next book in the series.

I received this book free of charge from Revell Reads in exchange for my honest review.
