It Happens Every Spring
Four Seasons Book 1
Catherine Palmer
Gary Chapman
Brenda is suffering from an empty nest. Her husband Steve is always at work and she is lonely. Until a homeless man shows up on her doorstep and asks if she is a Christian.
The small town gossips about what he might be doing here in the town of Tranquility.
Written with a southern flair, Spring flows smoothly and invites you in to the lives of the people who live in Tranquility. Life seems to center around a hair salon and grabs your attention immediately with the quirky and fun characters. My only complaint would be the depiction of the marriage the main couple had. It was so realistically bad that I found myself wanting to shake some sense into the husband. He was horrible. But I've enjoyed reading this book and look forward to getting the next book in the series.
I received this book free of charge from Tyndale in exchange for my honest review.
