The Mistress of Tall Acre

The Mistress of Tall Acre

Seamus returns home to Tall Acre after the war with a young daughter. He's in desperate need of a mother for his little Lily Cate. Sophie agrees to marry him, knowing there isn't any love involved. But when trouble comes back to haunt them, they find love in unexpected places and must learn to trust not only each other, but their heavenly Father as well.

I really enjoyed this book. The scene was set dramatically and the drama continued through the entire book. The word pictures made the book come alive. The author created characters to love (or love to hate). The book was very plot driven and while the outcome was assumed, I enjoyed the whole thing. The story brought to mind the book Jane Eyre. I would definitely read more by this author based on this book.

I received this book free of charge from Revell Reads in exchange for my honest review.
