Skip Rock Shallows
Jan Watson
Lilly has accepted an internship in Skip Rock, KY. She has plans to finish her internship in the small mining town and then head to Boston to marry her fiance. The town people don't seem to be warming up to a female doctor. But despite their resistance she makes friends and begins to form attachments to the residents, one in particular.
I loved this book. The story was well written. The characters were creative and fun. The author filled the story with authentic details for the time period. The story was light on romance, but full of heartwarming relationships between Lilly and her patients. The Christian aspect was prevalent, but not over powering. I will definitely be checking out more books by this author.
I received this book free of charge from Tyndale
