What does a family consist of?
If a child is asking who belongs in their family or why someone else’s family
is different from their own, then this book in the "Families" series is the perfect book to answer those
questions. It tackles these questions with colorful pictures and easy to
understand words. Each picture helps to define and explain the concepts the
author is talking about. Specific words throughout the book are highlighted and
then defined on a page at the back of the book. A family tree further showcases
how a family might be formed. Notes at the back guide parents or teachers with
reading and explaining the book to children. The book would be perfect in a
school setting to aid the teacher in explaining the various family types that
the classmates might encounter. The large print and easy to understand words
make this a great book for an early reader as well.
