Raising kids is nothing like the working world. And no matter how many books you read, kids you babysit, or parents you talk with - nothing can prepare you for the utter chaos that will ensue when you bring one of those lovely creatures home with you. The author, a lawyer, who worked for several years before deciding to stay home with her children, writes with humor and experience as she talks about the blessings and stress of being a mom.

I loved this book. I kept reading portions out loud to whomever happened to be near. The author was hilarious and spot on. I could relate to so many of the things that she talked about. It might be a case of misery loves company, but she also, while laughing about the chaos of kids, brought how precious they are to us and how we are entrusted with so much. This was inspiring, thought provoking, and a much needed respite from being a mommy. I would recommend this book to anyone who is or will soon be a mom. Loved it!

I received this book free of charge from Revell Reads in exchange for my honest review.
